A large sample analysis of European rivers on seasonal river flow correlation and its physical drivers [PDF]
The geophysical and hydrological processes governing river flow formation exhibit persistence at several timescales, which may manifest itself with the presence of positive seasonal correlation of streamflow at several different time lags. We investigate

A bimetallic Cu‐Pd single‐site catalyst for the selective and efficient electrooxidation of glycerol to formate and C3‐products (lactate, glycolate, glycerate) is reported. Experimental and theoretical studies shed light on the catalyst function and reveal that Pd sites facilitate the adsorption of hydroxyl (C‐OH) species which prevents C‐C bond ...

In addition to its effect on high density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesteryl ester (CE) uptake, scavenger receptor BI (SR-BI) was recently reported to stimulate free cholesterol (FC) flux from Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells stably expressing mouse SR-BI, a

Protein markers of dysfunctional HDL in scavenger receptor class B type I deficient mice
Background Scavenger receptor class B type I (SR-BI) plays a key role in high density lipoproteins (HDL) metabolism. SR-BI deficiency in mice results in enhanced susceptibility to atherosclerosis with abnormal large, cholesterol enriched, and functional ...

Genetic and Phenotypic Features of the Five Known Polyaminopathies: A Critical Narrative Review
ABSTRACT Polyaminopathies are a recently described family of rare genetic neurodevelopmental disorders. Polyaminopathies disrupt the biosynthesis of the primary polyamines: putrescine, spermidine, and spermine. Snyder–Robinson syndrome results from hemizygous loss‐of‐function variants in the spermine synthase (SMS) gene, resulting in decreased or ...

Dimerization of the scavenger receptor class B type I
This study has examined the dimeric/oligomeric forms of scavenger receptor class B type I (SR-BI) and its alternatively spliced form, SR-BII, in a diverse group of cells and tissues: i.e., normal and hormonally altered tissues of mice and rats as well as

Objective Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is an established risk factor for dementia, although the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Our previous research demonstrated that a single severe TBI in wild‐type (WT) mice induces a prion‐like form of tau (tauTBI) that spreads throughout the brain, leading to memory deficits.
