Single crystal growth and study of the magnetic properties of the mixed spin-dimer system Ba$_{3-x}$Sr$_{x}$Cr$_{2}$O$_{8}$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The compounds Sr$_{3}$Cr$_{2}$O$_{8}$ and Ba$_{3}$Cr$_{2}$O$_{8}$ are insulating dimerized antiferromagnets with Cr$^{5+}$ magnetic ions. These spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ ions form hexagonal bilayers with a strong intradimer antiferromagnetic interaction, that ...

Penetration depth and gap structure in the antiperovskite oxide superconductor Sr$_{3-x}$SnO revealed by $\mu$SR [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We report a $\mu$SR study on the antiperovskite oxide superconductor Sr$_{3-x}$SnO. With transverse-field $\mu$SR, we observed the increase of the muon relaxation rate upon cooling below the superconducting transition temperature $T_{\mathrm{c}}=5.4$ K ...

Enhancement of Tc by Sr substitution for Ba in Hg-2212 superconductor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The Ba substitution by Sr has been studied in two Hg-2212 series: Hg2(Ba(1-y)Sr(y))2YCu2O8-d and Hg2(Ba(1-y)Sr(y))2(Y0.80Ca0.20)Cu2O8-d. In both series a Tc enhancement of about 40 K is observed when Sr substitutes Ba from y = 0 to y = 1.0.

Hamiltonian Formalism of the de-Sitter Invariant Special Relativity

open access: yes, 2005
Lagrangian of the Einstein's special relativity with universal parameter $c$ ($\mathcal{SR}_c$) is invariant under Poincar\'e transformation which preserves Lorentz metric $\eta_{\mu\nu}$.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

The beta subunit of the signal recognition particle receptor is a transmembrane GTPase that anchors the alpha subunit, a peripheral membrane GTPase, to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
The signal recognition particle receptor (SR) is required for the cotranslational targeting of both secretory and membrane proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane.

Stellar laboratories. IX. New Se V, Sr IV - VII, Te VI, and I VI oscillator strengths and the Se, Sr, Te, and I abundances in the hot white dwarfs G191-B2B and RE 0503-289 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
To analyze spectra of hot stars, advanced non-local thermodynamic equilibrium (NLTE) model-atmosphere techniques are mandatory. Reliable atomic data is for the calculation of such model atmospheres.

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Changes in serum cholyglycine and prealbumin levels, glutamyl transpeptidase, and Alpha-fetoprotein after transcatheter arterial chemoembolisation combined with microwave ablation of liver cancer [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Medical Biochemistry
Background: This study aimed to evaluate the clinical outcomes of transcatheter arterial chemoembolisation (TACE) alone and in combination with microwave ablation (MWA) for patients with middle- or advanced-stage primary liver cancer (PLC) and analyse ...
