Core Sulphate-Reducing Microorganisms in Metal-Removing Semi-Passive Biochemical Reactors and the Co-Occurrence of Methanogens

open access: yesMicroorganisms, 2018
Biochemical reactors (BCRs) based on the stimulation of sulphate-reducing microorganisms (SRM) are emerging semi-passive remediation technologies for treatment of mine-influenced water.

Microscale Mapping of Fiber Strain and Damage in Composite Wrinkled Laminates Using Computed Tomography Assisted Wide‐Angle X‐Ray Scattering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study combines full‐field tomography with diffraction mapping to quantify radial (ε002$\varepsilon _{002}$) and axial (ε100$\varepsilon _{100}$) lattice strain in wrinkled carbon‐fiber specimens for the first time. Radial microstrain gradients (−14.5 µεMPa$\varepsilon \mathrm{MPa}$−1) are found to signal damage‐prone zones ahead of failure, which ...

Electrochemical Modulation of Laser‐Induced Covalent Functionalization of Graphene

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photoelectrochemical functionalization of graphene introduces the electrochemical potential as an additional parameter for the laser‐induced covalent modification of graphene. Tuning of the potential allows for amplification or suppression of the functionalization reaction with constant laser parameters, which enables in situ Raman analysis of ...

Current and Speed Control of the Switched Reluctance Motor

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2004
The papers deals with the problem of the current and speed control of the switched reculttance motor (SRM) on the base of the proposed mathematical model of the SRM. The basic types of the controllers are described (proportional controller, PI-controller

A proposed design, implementation and control of doubly fed switched reluctance motor

open access: yesCES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems, 2019
In this paper, rotor of switched reluctance motor (SRM) is employed by mounting copper windings on the rotor poles as well as the stator poles. Rotor and stator windings are excited from DC supply in order to increase the developed electro-magnetic ...

Field‐Frustrated Cooperative Distortions: Suppressing Jahn‐Teller Ordering via Microwave Annealing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microwave annealing decouples local Jahn‐Teller distortions from long‐range cooperative ordering in CuFe2O4, stabilizing a metastable cubic phase that remains locally distorted yet globally symmetry‐frustrated. Synchrotron XRD, PDF, XPS, and in situ thermal cycling reveal how non‐equilibrium MW‐phonon interactions suppress cooperative orbital‐lattice ...

Design and Parametr Analysis of Switched Reluctance Motor with Permanent Magnets

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2004
This paper deals with Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) parametr investigation, if permanent magnets are suitable inserted in stator parts to increase magnetic flux.

A dorsal CA2 to ventral CA1 circuit contributes to oxytocinergic modulation of long-term social recognition memory

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Science, 2022
Background Social recognition memory (SRM) is the ability to distinguish familiar from novel conspecifics and is crucial for survival and reproductive success across social species.

Allosteric Inhibition of Polycomb Repressive Complex 2 by an EZH2‐Selective Small Molecule Inhibitor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study characterizes C36, a highly selective EZH2/PRC2 inhibitor that acts via a novel allosteric mechanism. Unlike previous inhibitors, C36 inhibits EZH2/PRC2 by disrupting the allosteric communication between EZH2 and EED in a SAM‐noncompetitive manner.

Suppression of Switched Reluctance Motor Vibration of In-Wheel Motor Electric Vehicle

open access: yesJournal of Control Science and Engineering, 2018
Switched reluctance motor (SRM) has got great attention in in-wheel motor electric vehicle (IWM-EV), but SRM vertical force, the vertical component of SRM unbalanced radial force, yields SRM vertical vibration and does harm to dynamic performance of IWM ...
