SR 58611A

open access: yesDrugs in R & D, 2003
SR 58611A [SR 58611], a highly selective agonist for atypical beta3-adrenoceptors, inhibits intestinal motility. This (phenylethanol) aminotetraline sympathomimetic was originated by Sanofi as a potential treatment for irritable bowel syndrome but is now in development for depression. SR 58611A is currently in phase III trials for depression in France.

Immunotherapy is associated with improved survival and decreased neurologic death after SRS for brain metastases from lung and melanoma primaries.

open access: yesNeuro-Oncology Practice, 2019
Background The effect of immunotherapy on brain metastasis patients remains incompletely understood. Our goal was to evaluate its effect on survival, neurologic death, and patterns of failure after stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) without prior whole ...

Evaluation of Biological Effective Dose in Gamma Knife Staged Stereotactic Radiosurgery for Large Brain Metastases

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2022
ObjectiveGamma knife (GK) staged stereotactic radiosurgery (Staged-SRS) has become an effective treatment option for large brain metastases (BMs); however, it has been challenging to evaluate the total dose because of tumor shrinkage between two staged ...

Low-versus high-dose aspirin for venous thromboembolic prophylaxis after total joint arthroplasty: a systematic review and meta-analysis

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research
Background The adverse effects of aspirin are dose-dependent, and there is controversy surrounding the use of low-dose (LD) aspirin to prevent venous thromboembolism (VTE) following total joint arthroplasty (TJA). This meta-analysis sought to compare the
