hnRNPC Functions with HuR to Regulate Alternative Splicing in an m6A‐Dependent Manner and is Essential for Meiosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 13, April 3, 2025.
This work shows that hnRNPC recognizes and binds directly to key meiosis‐related genes and works with HuR to regulate alternative splicing of its target genes, ensuring the normal production and proper function of essential meiotic transcripts required for meiotic initiation and progression during the first wave of spermatogenesis.

The phosphatase inhibitor LB-100 creates neoantigens in colon cancer cells through perturbation of mRNA splicing

open access: yesEMBO Reports
Perturbation of protein phosphorylation represents an attractive approach to cancer treatment. Besides kinase inhibitors, protein phosphatase inhibitors have been shown to have anti-cancer activity.

SRSF1-mediated alternative splicing regulates bladder cancer progression and cisplatin sensitivity through HIF1A/BNIP3/mitophagy axis

open access: yesJournal of Translational Medicine
Background Alternative splicing (AS) is consistently linked to tumor progression. SRSF1, the first identified proto-oncogene in the serine/arginine-rich splicing factor (SRSF) protein family, plays a crucial role.

SRPK1 Promotes Glioma Proliferation, Migration, and Invasion through Activation of Wnt/β-Catenin and JAK-2/STAT-3 Signaling Pathways

open access: yesBiomedicines
Currently, the treatment of gliomas still relies primarily on surgery and radiochemotherapy. Although there are various drugs available, including temozolomide, the overall therapeutic effect is unsatisfactory, and the prognosis remains poor.

Targeting SRSF10 might inhibit M2 macrophage polarization and potentiate anti‐PD‐1 therapy in hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesCancer Communications
Background The efficacy of immune checkpoint blockade therapy in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains poor. Although serine‐ and arginine‐rich splicing factor (SRSF) family members play crucial roles in tumors, their impact on tumor ...
