Physical and physiological demands of basketball small-sided games: the influence of defensive and time pressures

open access: yesBiology of Sport, 2020
Different small-sided games (SSG) can be used by coaches to induce specific demands on athletes during team sports training. In basketball, defensive and time pressures are common stressors experienced by players during official matches.

A Protein‐Centric Strategy Coupled with Match‐Between‐Run Glycoproteomics Enables Discovery of Robust Site‐Specific Glycan Biomarkers for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, a highly robust N‐glycoproteomics (HRN) platform with a newly developed match‐between‐run scheme is used for biomarker discovery. This study proposes a protein‐centric strategy to prioritize proteins susceptible to aberrant glycosylation.

Machine Learning for Green Solvents: Assessment, Selection and Substitution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Environmental regulations have intensified demand for green solvents, but discovery is limited by Solvent Selection Guides (SSGs) that quantify solvent sustainability. Training a machine learning model on GlaxoSmithKline SSG, a database of sustainability metrics for 10,189 solvents, GreenSolventDB is developed. Integrated with Hansen solubility metrics,

Physical and Physiological Responses during the Stop-Ball Rule During Small-Sided Games in Soccer Players

open access: yesSports, 2019
Small-sided games (SSGs) are a recommended training method for significant performance enhancement, and training efficiency. The stop-ball (SSG-SB) effects on physical responses (e.g., acceleration, deceleration, sprints, total distance, and indicator of

DC‐magnetometry Analytical Tool Driven by Spin Ordering Phenomena for Sensing Chemical Interactions at the Surface of Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The adsorption of AsV on akaganeite nanorods was found to provide a magnetic signature. A change in the surface spin order gave rise to a second peak in the zero‐field cooled curve. AsIII adsorption does not provide any change in the magnetic behavior of the sorbent.
