Exploring the effects of silica particles size on soft body armour panels for stab resistance application in advanced protective textiles

Journal of Composite Materials
Stab-resistant armours are a critical component of personal protective equipment for law enforcement officers and security forces who face various sort of threats in the line of duty. This research focuses on the development and evaluation of advanced, flexible soft-body armour for stab-resistance applications. Multi-layer armour panels were fabricated

Stab resistance of p-aramid fabric protective composites reinforced with nanostructures of tungsten disulfide

2019
New composite material has been designed and examined, based on p-aramid fabric, poly (vinyl butyral), and tungsten disulfide in form of fullerene-like nanoparticles and multi-layer nanotubes. Nanostructures of WS2 were observed using scanning electron microscope to determine diameters of WS2 nanotubes.
