On hyperexponential stability and stabilization
Theorems on hyperexponential stability are proposed for both explicitly and implicitly defined Lyapunov functions. It is shown that finite-time and fixed-time controls based on the use of implicitly defined Lyapunov function provide hyperexponential stability under sampled-time realization.

Infection Models for Pine Wilt Disease on the Basis of Vector Behaviors
Infection models for pine wilt disease without vector density were built to estimate the transmission coefficient of the pathogenic nematode. The models successfully simulated the annual change in the density of infected trees for four pine stands. ABSTRACT Pine wilt disease is caused by the pinewood nematode (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus Steiner et ...

Generalized Stochastic Gradient Learning [PDF]
We study the properties of generalized stochastic gradient (GSG) learning in forwardlooking models. We examine how the conditions for stability of standard stochastic gradient (SG) learning both di1er from and are related to E-stability, which governs ...

FoxO1 signaling in B cell malignancies and its therapeutic targeting
FoxO1 has context‐specific tumor suppressor or oncogenic character in myeloid and B cell malignancies. This includes tumor‐promoting properties such as stemness maintenance and DNA damage tolerance in acute leukemias, or regulation of cell proliferation and survival, or migration in mature B cell malignancies.

SFPQ and NONO suppress RNA:DNA-hybrid-related telomere instability
LncRNA TERRA forms RNA-DNA hybrids at telomere sites leading to telomere instability. Here the authors identify the RNA interacting factors NONO and SFPQ as proteins that interact with TERRA and telomere chromatin and reveal putative roles for these ...

A Framework for Algorithm Stability [PDF]
We say that an algorithm is stable if small changes in the input result in small changes in the output. This kind of algorithm stability is particularly relevant when analyzing and visualizing time-varying data.

Making tau amyloid models in vitro: a crucial and underestimated challenge
This review highlights the challenges of producing in vitro amyloid assemblies of the tau protein. We review how accurately the existing protocols mimic tau deposits found in the brain of patients affected with tauopathies. We discuss the important properties that should be considered when forming amyloids and the benchmarks that should be used to ...

Interaction extracellular vesicles (iEVs) are hybrid vesicles formed through host‐pathogen communication. They facilitate immune evasion, transfer pathogens' molecules, increase host cell uptake, and enhance virulence. This Perspective article illustrates the multifunctional roles of iEVs and highlights their emerging relevance in infection dynamics ...
