Accurate voltage regulation for a DC microgrid using nonlinear state feedback controller

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution
The high penetration of distributed generation systems poses challenges in effectively managing both DC bus voltage and power‐sharing in DC microgrids (MGs).

Robust Stability and Stability Radius for Variational Control Systems [PDF]

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2008
We consider an integral variational control system on a Banach space X and we study the connections between its uniform exponential stability and the (I(ℝ+, X), O(ℝ+, X)) stability, where I and O are Banach function spaces. We identify the viable classes of input spaces and output spaces related to the exponential stability of systems and provide ...

Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the

Enhanced composite controller for PV/PMSG/PEMFC and BESS‐based DC microgrids voltage regulation: Integrating integral terminal sliding mode controller and recursive backstepping controller

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution
The variability of renewable energy sources due to weather patterns often leads to a mismatch between power generation and consumption within microgrids (MGs).

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Supervisory Stability Assurance Layer for Hierarchical Plant-wide Process Control

open access: yes, 2010
An independent stability assurance layer for the multivariable controller in the hierarchical control architecture is introduced in this paper. This stability layer provides an integrated safety and protection measure to process control systems from ...

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Rotor angle stability with high penetrations of wind generation

open access: yes, 2012
This paper explores the relationship between wind generation, particularly the control of reactive power from variable speed wind turbine generators, and the rotor angle stability of the conventional synchronous generators in the system.

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.
