Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Analysis and improvement of the reactive power cascade control strategy for MMC‐HVDC receiving‐end converter connected to weak grid

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution
The weak AC grid in a modular multilevel converter modular multilevel converter based high voltage direct current (MMC‐HVDC) receiving‐end system requires faster reactive power support from the receiving‐end MMC.

Wall deflection induced by pre-excavation dewatering in large-scale excavations

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2017
Field observation is carried out in a large-scale excavation to obtain the wall deflection induced by pre-excavation multiple well dewatering, and the maximum deflection of 15 mm, reaching 47.6% of the allowable wall deflection for the project, is ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

A joint data and knowledge‐driven method for power system disturbance localisation

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution
Accurate and fast disturbance localisation is critical for taking timely controls to prevent power system instability. With the increased complexity of systems, the physical model‐based disturbance localisation is challenging to achieve good performance ...

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Robust control for discrete-time networked control systems

open access: yes, 2010
This paper considers analysis and synthesis of discrete-time networked control systems (NCSs), where the plant has additive uncertainty and the controller is updated with the sensor information at stochastic time intervals.

Enhanced sliding mode controller design via meta‐heuristic algorithm for robust and stable load frequency control in multi‐area power systems

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution
This article introduces a novel approach named HBA‐dHoSMO, which combines a continuous decentralized higher‐order sliding mode controller‐based observer (dHoSMO) with the honey badger algorithm (HBA), specifically designed for load frequency control in ...
