Prediction of stability constants of Cu2+ complexes with organic fluorescent ligands using thermodynamic cycle in combination with DFT theory and SMD solvent model

open access: yesTạp chí Khoa học Đại học Huế: Khoa học Tự nhiên, 2020
Accurately predicting the stability constant ( ) of the Cu2+ complex with organic fluorescent ligands provides an important basis to design molecular fluorescent sensors for selective detection of Cu2+.

Climate Change and the Stability of Water Allocation Agreements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We analyse agreements on river water allocation between riparian countries. Besides being efficient, water allocation agreements need to be stable in order to be effective in increasing the efficiency of water use.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Stability Analysis of New Solutions of the EYM system with Cosmological Constant [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We analyze the stability properties of the purely magnetic, static solutions to the Einstein--Yang--Mills equations with cosmological constant. It is shown that all three classes of solutions found in a recent study are unstable under spherical ...

An intracellular transporter mitigates the CO2‐induced decline in iron content in Arabidopsis shoots

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study identifies a gene encoding a transmembrane protein, MIC, which contributes to the reduction of shoot Fe content observed in plants under elevated CO2. MIC is a putative Fe transporter localized to the Golgi and endosomal compartments. Its post‐translational regulation in roots may represent a potential target for improving plant nutrition ...

Determination of the side-reaction coefficient of desferrioxamine B in trace-metal-free seawater

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2016
Electrochemical techniques like adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry with competitive ligand equilibration (ACSV-CLE) can determine total concentrations of marine organic ligands and their conditional binding constants for specific metals, but ...

Stability of retrial queueing system with constant retrial rate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We study the stability of a single-server retrial queueing system with constant retrial rate and general input and service processes. In such system the external (primary) arrivals follow a renewal input with rate $\lambda$.

Structural insights into lacto‐N‐biose I recognition by a family 32 carbohydrate‐binding module from Bifidobacterium bifidum

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bifidobacterium bifidum establishes symbiosis with infants by metabolizing lacto‐N‐biose I (LNB) from human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). The extracellular multidomain enzyme LnbB drives this process, releasing LNB via its catalytic glycoside hydrolase family 20 (GH20) lacto‐N‐biosidase domain.
