Constant gain stabilization with desired damping

Computers & Chemical Engineering, 2006
In this short note, we have proposed an approach to find the solution for constant gain stabilization problem with desired damping. This short note illustrates that it is easy to find the bound on the constant gain as compared to Aniruddha Datta's proposed method.

Constants of the Motion and Microscopic Stability of Plasmas

The Physics of Fluids, 1967
The possibility of sidestepping the direct solution of the Vlasov equation in order to obtain information about the stability of a plasma by employing certain constants of the motion is discussed. For plane equilibria a large set of conservation laws is derived in the electrostatic approximation, including those for the total energy and momentum of the

Self-Stabilizing Symmetry Breaking in Constant Space

SIAM Journal on Computing, 2002
Summary: We investigate the problem of self-stabilizing round-robin token management on a bidirectional ring of identical processors. Each processor is an asynchronous probabilistic finite state (i.e., constant space) machine which sends and receives constant-size messages and whose state transition is triggered by the receipt of a message.

The determination of the stability constant for calcium EGTA

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - General Subjects, 1976
Abstract The stability constant for calcium-EGTA, KCaEGTA, was determined in imidazole, Tris-maleate and phosphate buffered-solutions. The value for KCaEGTA was found to be independent of the buffer solution, in contrast with earlier reports (Ogawa, Y. (1968) J. Biochem. 64, 225; Godt, R.E. (1974) J. Gen. Physiol. 63, 722).

Design and publication of work on stability constants

Talanta, 1974
Methods for determining stability constants are reviewed critically. Recommendations are made about the choice of technique, the detailed design of experiments, the calculation of the constants and the presentation of the results for publication.

Potentiometric determination of aminal stability constants

Talanta, 1995
Potentiometric titration was used to determine the logarithms of the stepwise equilibrium constants for the species formed between morpholine and formaldehyde in aqueous solution, ionic strength 0.5 and 2.5M (KCl) at 25 degrees C. The instrumental and computational techniques developed for metal-ligand stability constant determination were applied ...

Prediction of Stability Constants

2010
Stability constants of complex compounds depend on many factors, thus many methods and approaches are used for their prediction. Here we give an overview of these methods starting from simple Irving-Williams order and HSAB model. Next we present various correlations of stability constants of complexes to each other and to protonation constants of the ...
