We propose a residual‐based adversarial‐gradient moving sample (RAMS) method for scientific machine learning that treats samples as trainable variables and updates them to maximize the physics residual, thereby effectively concentrating samples in inadequately learned regions.

Asymptotic behavior of splitting schemes involving time-subcycling techniques
International audienceThis paper deals with the numerical integration of well-posed multiscale systems of ODEs or evolutionary PDEs. As these systems appear naturally in engineering problems, time-subcycling techniques are widely used every day to ...

ABSTRACT The growing demand for biopharmaceutical products reflects their effectiveness in medical treatments. However, developing new biopharmaceuticals remains a major bottleneck, often taking up to a decade before market approval. Machine learning (ML) models have the potential to accelerate this process, but their success depends on access to large

Caffeine and Headache: Exploring the Multifaceted Relationship
ABSTRACT Purpose To explore the multifaceted relationship between caffeine and headache disorders, focusing on its dual role as both an analgesic and a potential trigger and to summarize the mechanisms underlying its anti‐nociceptive effects. Method This narrative review synthesizes evidence from experimental, clinical, and epidemiological studies on ...

Abstract We develop a delay‐aware estimation and control framework for a non‐isothermal axial dispersion tubular reactor modelled as a coupled parabolic‐hyperbolic PDE system with recycle‐induced state delay. The infinite‐dimensional dynamics are preserved without spatial discretization by representing the delay as a transport PDE and adopting a late ...

Approachability in Population Games [PDF]
This paper reframes approachability theory within the context of population games. Thus, whilst one player aims at driving her average payoff to a predefined set, her opponent is not malevolent but rather extracted randomly from a population of ...

A one‐dimensional multiphysics engineering model is developed to elucidate the coupled transport and reaction phenomena governing textile‐based wearable lactate biosensors operating in sweat. The model integrates diffusion of lactate, oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, and protons with dual‐substrate enzymatic kinetics, acid–base equilibria, and mediator‐based

From Stability to Chaos: A Complete Classification of the Damped Klein‐Gordon Dynamics
ABSTRACT We investigate the transition between stability and chaos in the damped Klein‐Gordon equation, a fundamental model for wave propagation and energy dissipation. Using semigroup methods and spectral criteria, we derive explicit thresholds that determine when the system exhibits asymptotic stability and when it displays strong chaotic dynamics ...

Petrov-Galerkin Dynamical Low Rank Approximation: SUPG stabilisation of advection-dominated problems
We propose a novel framework of generalised Petrov-Galerkin Dynamical Low Rank Approximations (DLR) in the context of random PDEs. It builds on the standard Dynamical Low Rank Approximations in their Dynamically Orthogonal formulation.
