Ensemble Feedback Stabilization of Linear Systems

open access: yesApplied Mathematics & Optimization
Stabilization of linear control systems with parameter-dependent system matrices is investigated. A Riccati based feedback mechanism is proposed and analyzed. It is constructed by means of an ensemble of parameters from a training set. This single feedback stabilizes all systems of the training set and also systems in its vicinity.

Integrated fault estimation and accommodation design for discrete-time Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems with actuator faults [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This paper addresses the problem of integrated robust fault estimation (FE) and accommodation for discrete-time Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy systems. First, a multiconstrained reduced-order FE observer (RFEO) is proposed to achieve FE for discrete-time ...

Multimodal Perception and Machine Learning‐Empowered Human Machine Interfaces With Double‐Network Hydrogel Fibers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work develops polyacrylamide‐alginate (PAM‐Alg) double‐network hydrogel fibers for multimodal perception and intelligent human‐machine interfaces. The covalent‐ionic network provides high strength, toughness, and stable conductivity. Easily woven into wearables and integrated with soft robots, the fibers enable object and temperature recognitions ...

Robust State Feedback Stabilization of Uncertain Discrete-Time Switched Linear Systems Subject to Actuator Saturation

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2015
The robust stabilization problem is investigated for a class of discrete-time switched linear systems with time-varying norm-bounded uncertainties and saturating actuators by using the multiple Lyapunov functions method.

Digitizing the Filtration Interface: A Smart, Modular Janus Wood Platform for Self‐Reporting Oil/Water Remediation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work developed a smart Janus wood membrane integrating asymmetric wettability with built‐in electrical sensing for oil‐water separation. The membrane achieved > 99.5% separation efficiency and high flux by leveraging wood's natural anisotropic pore structure.

Adaptive Robust Simultaneous Stabilization of Two Dynamic Positioning Vessels Based on a Port-Controlled Hamiltonian (PCH) Model

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
In this paper, the adaptive robust simultaneous stabilization problem of two ships is studied. Firstly, the water surface three-degree-of-freedom ship models are transformed into port-controlled Hamiltonian (PCH) models.
