Feedback stabilization of 2D systems
1985 24th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1985The paper is concerned with the problem of constructing feedback compensators which ensure stability properties of a 2D system. The feedback invariant subset of zeros of the closed loop characteristic polynomial is specified and conditions are stated for the existence of stabilizing compensators.

On the stability of multiloop feedback systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1972Some extensions on recent work in passive stability theory by Desoer and the author are presented. The stability of feedback systems is considered where the forward-loop and return-loop subsystems each have been subdivided into several systems operating in parallel. Results are obtained in the areas of Lyapunov stability, L 2 input L 2 output stability,

On robustness of the stability of feedback systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1980The problem is posed of when a stable feedback system remains stable under small perturbation of the plant. Several different notions of small perturbation are proposed, all for operator-type plant models, and the robustness question is settled for these notions.
