On highly oscillatory problems arising in electronic engineering [PDF]
In this paper, we consider linear ordinary differential equations originating in electronic engineering, which exhibit exceedingly rapid oscillation.

Soft Hardware, Flowing Software: Reconfigurable Microfluidics for Adaptable Chemical Computation
A reconfigurable microfluidic platform based on soft, photo‐printable, and chemically erasable hydrogel structures printed and erased in situ is used to control flow routing, mixing, chemical patterning, and even chemical computing. Using hardware to control chemical computations decouples logic function from molecular composition, demonstrated via ...

Microresonator Dissipative Kerr Solitons Synchronized to an Optoelectronic Oscillator
Using phase-modulation-induced potential gradient whose period is synchronized to a microwave opto-electronic oscillator, dissipative Kerr solitons generated in a crystalline optical microresonator are trapped by the soliton tweezing effect, exhibiting a

Stabilizing Electrochemical Interfaces With Multifunctional Cobalt Nitride Layers
Cobalt nitrides emerged recently as an interesting class of earth‐abundant oxygen evolution catalysts. Herein, plasma‐enhanced atomic layer deposition is used to synthesize multifunctional cobalt nitride layers that simultaneously protect and catalytically activate photoelectrode surfaces.

Amplitude stabilization of micromechanical oscillators using engineered nonlinearity
Micromechanical oscillators provide periodic output signals for clocks and sensors by vibrating in a single mechanical mode. The mode is conventionally excited into self-sustained oscillations and stabilized with an external electronic feedback loop.

Performance of a superconducting cavity stabilized ruby maser oscillator [PDF]
We first described an all-cryogenic oscillator system at the 1982 Applied Superconductivity Conference in Knoxville. This oscillator consists of a ruby cavity maser stabilized by a high-Q superconductor-on-sapphire resonator. The maser provides gain with

Light Switchable Ionic Conductivity of Arylazopyrazole Modified Polysiloxanes
We present a polysiloxane functionalized with a novel arylazopyrazole dye that undergoes reversible photoisomerization. Upon lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide addition and UV irradiation, the polymer exhibits a shift in tan(d) toward higher frequencies and enhanced ionic conductivity.

Nonequilibrium dynamics of a fast oscillator coupled to Glauber spins
A fast harmonic oscillator is linearly coupled with a system of Ising spins that are in contact with a thermal bath, and evolve under a slow Glauber dynamics at dimensionless temperature theta.
