High-Power All-Fiber Single-Frequency Erbium–Ytterbium Co-Doped Fiber Master Oscillator Power Amplifier

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2015
We report herein an all-fiber single-frequency master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) at 1550 nm with Er/Yb-codoped active fiber and wavelength-stabilized 976-nm LD pump source. A pump-limited maximum continuous-wave output power of 56.4 W was achieved

Cavity stabilized Gunn oscillator at 35 GHz

open access: yes, 1994
The performance characteristics of a 35-GHz cavity stabilized Gunn diode oscillator is presented. The frequency variations are found to be reduced by a factor of 66 when the oscillator is locked to the ...

Stabilizing Rabi oscillation of a charge qubit via the atomic clock technique

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2018
We propose a superconducting circuit-atom hybrid, where the Rabi oscillation of single excess Cooper pair in the island is stabilized via the common atomic clock technique.

Counterintuitive Fluorescence Blue Shift in Symmetry Breaking Dicationic Bis(indolium) with Two‐Photon Absorption Properties for NIR Living Cell Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Highly water‐soluble dicationic bis(indolium) dyes have been prepared, showing excellent two‐photon absorption and light emission. Their fluorescence behavior discloses an unusual increasing blue shift with increasing solvent polarity, which, in parallel, is beneficial for enhanced detection in biological media.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Peculiarities of millimeter range autodynes

open access: yesВестник Самарского университета: Аэрокосмическая техника, технологии и машиностроение, 2016
A functional diagram and an equivalent circuit diagram of an autodyne oscillator are presented in the paper. Features of the formation of autodyne and noise characteristics are discussed taking into account the nonlinearity of autodyne phase ...
