Phenylethanoid glycosides from Stachytarpheta cayennensis (Rich.) Vahl, Verbenaceae, a traditional antimalarial medicinal plant [PDF]

The boiled juice of Stachytarpheta cayennensis, Verbenaceae, whole plant material is used ethnomedicinally in different countries of Latin-America to treat symptoms of malaria. In the ethyl acetate extract, five phenylethanoid glycosides could be identified.
