Evaluation The Effect Of HTGN Treatments On The Corrosion Resistance and Magnetic Properties Of Austenitic Stainless Steel 316L And 316LVM

open access: yesJEMMME (Journal of Energy, Mechanical, Material, and Manufacturing Engineering), 2017
High temperature gas nitriding (HTGN) is the new methods to enhanced the properties of stainless steel. The HTGN process is able to diffuse the nitrogen atom into stainless steel. Increasing the nitrogen concentration produces higher corrosion resistance.

Additive Manufacturing of 316L Stainless Steel

open access: yesInternational Journal of Recent Technology and Engineering (IJRTE), 2019
Additive manufacturing (AM) is a process of making parts by adding ultrathin layers of materials such as liquid, powder or sheet material layer by layer using 3D printing machine with the aid of a computer-aided design (CAD) software from 3D model data. Intricate, complex parts with graded material can be fabricated with ease.

Experimental Evaluation of 100Cr6 Steel Microindented Surfaces Under Lubricated Nonconformal Point Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Tribo-corrosion of steel in artificial saliva

open access: yes, 2014
Stainless steel is widely used as dental implant. However, there has been little work on the micro-abrasion of such materials in laboratory simulated oral environments, where abrasion, sliding wear can interact simultaneously.
