A New 13-Level Switched-Capacitor Inverter with Reduced Device Count

open access: yesPower Electronics and Drives, 2021
This paper proposed a new voltage-boosting 13-level switched-capacitor (SC) cost-effective inverter. The proposed topology comprises fourteen transistors, three capacitors and a single DC source to produce a 13-level staircase waveform.

Quantitative assessment of the log-log-step method for pattern detection in noise-prone environments. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
Staircase-like structures in the log-log correlation plot of a time series indicate patterns against a noisy background, even under condition of strong jitter.

Two‐Photon Grayscale Lithography (2GL) of High Mechanical and Optical Quality 3D Silica Glass Microstructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Two‐photon grayscale lithography (2GL) enables high‐speed and precise 3D printing of thermolyzed silica glass microstructures with optical‐grade surface quality, high quality factors, and mechanical strength utilizing a custom‐made pre‐glass resist based on polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) modified with a high‐sensitivity Norrish type II ...

Energetic Offset in Organic Solar Cells‐ Importance, Confusion and Outlook

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Energetic offsets in organic solar cells (OSCs) remain a subject of debate due to measurement‐ and lab‐dependent discrepancies. This Perspective clarifies the physical origins of these variations and identifies temperature‐dependent electro‐optical methods as a reliable approach to obtain consistent offset values.

Large‐Scale Determination of Frontier Orbital Energies of Disordered Small‐Molecule Organic Semiconductors Using Exciplex Emission Spectra

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accurately knowing the frontier orbital energies of the structurally disordered small‐molecule organic semiconductors that are used in optoelectronic devices such as organic light‐emitting diodes is required to rationally improve their performance. Here, we show that these energies can be deduced with a large accuracy from the peak energies of

An experimental method for measuring the rheological behavior of slurry suspensions

open access: yesApplied Rheology
Predictive modeling of natural sediment-laden flows requires rheometric protocols that are both reproducible and time-aware of sediment dynamics. This study establishes a standard measurement protocol for homogeneous sediment slurries using concentric ...
