Significant progress has recently been achieved in the lattice gauge theory calculations required for extracting the fundamental parameters of the standard model from experiment. Recent lattice determinations of such quantities as the kaon $B$ parameter,

Primary geodynamical parameters for the Standard Earth Model [PDF]
Summary. Most updated and consistent values of certain geodynamical parameters, required as basic input in the development of a density model for the Earth, are given. These are recommended as a uniform data base in Standard Earth Model development.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Effective operator contributions to the oblique parameters
We present a model and process independent study of the contributions from non-Standard Model physics to the oblique parameters S, T and U. We show that within an effective lagrangian parameterization the expressions for the oblique parameters in terms ...

The intrinsic shapes of starless cores in Ophiuchus [PDF]
Using observations of cores to infer their intrinsic properties requires the solution of several poorly constrained inverse problems. Here we address one of these problems, namely to deduce from the projected aspect ratios of the cores in Ophiuchus their

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Multi-Higgs-doublet models and singular alignment
We consider a 4-Higgs-doublet model in which each Higgs doublet gives mass to one of the fermion sets {m t }, {m b , m τ , m c }, {m μ , m s }, and {m d , m u , m e }. The sets have the feature that within each of them the masses are similar.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
