Improved centroid extraction algorithm for autonomous star sensor

open access: yesIET Image Processing, 2015
An improved centroid extraction algorithm for autonomous star sensor is proposed in this study, which focuses on the improvements of the location accuracy of stars and the speed of the centroid extraction. First, the coarse positioning of stars is carried out to achieve the dispersive regions of the stars quickly.

Predictive Centroiding for Single and Multiple FOVs Star Trackers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Star centroiding, locating the star image center in a CCD image, is a fundamental process for any star tracker. In this paper, the approximate location of the stars in successive image frames are predicted using the angular velocity as provided by the ...

Automatic centroid extraction method for noisy star image

open access: yesIET Image Processing, 2018
Star images obtained by star sensors have a low signal‐to‐noise ratio due to various physical constraints. Low resolution also causes stellar centroid extraction error when traditional methods such as the Gaussian filter or adaptive median filter are utilised to de‐noise star images. An automatic centroid extraction method for noisy low‐resolution star

Enhanced peripheral blood mononuclear cell lipid metabolism drives poor immunotherapy response via ferroptotic stress‐induced T cell exhaustion in hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Integrated multi‐omics reveals that CD36‐mediated lipid overload in PBMCs drives T cell exhaustion via sub‐lethal ferroptotic stress and AKT suppression. This systemic metabolic signature serves as a robust predictor of immunotherapy response in HCC, suggesting that modulating lipid metabolism can rescue immune fitness.

Liquid Atmospheric Pressure MALDI (LAP‐MALDI) Mass Spectrometry: A Versatile Tool for the Characterization of Synthetic Polymers

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, Volume 40, Issue 16, 30 August 2026.
ABSTRACT Rationale Liquid atmospheric pressure matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization (LAP‐MALDI) mass spectrometry (MS) has previously been applied to the analysis of biopolymers such as peptides, proteins, and DNA, producing ESI‐like multiply charged analyte ions.

A Step‐by‐Step Protocol From METASPACE to Biological Interpretation

open access: yesJournal of Mass Spectrometry, Volume 61, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) represents an exceptional tool for exploring complex biological systems spatially at the molecular level. However, its multidimensional nature and large data outputs make it challenging to extract meaningful biological insights. Advancements such as the METASPACE platform allow researchers to efficiently process,

A Robust Low-Complexity Star Centroiding Algorithm for Autonomous Navigation under Lunar Noise Conditions

open access: yesInternational Islamic University Malaysia Engineering Journal
Star-based navigation on the lunar surface is severely degraded by strong regolith reflections, abrupt illumination transitions, and sensor-induced noise, all of which lower the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and impair centroiding accuracy.
