Probing the dynamical and kinematical structures of detached shells around AGB stars
Context. The chemical evolution of asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars is driven by repeated thermal pulses (TPs). The duration of a TP is only a few hundred years, whereas an inter-pulse period lasts 104 − 105 yr. Direct observations of TPs are hence unlikely.

All‐Polyimide‐Mediated Liquid Metal Assembly on Aerogels for Breathable and Robust Electronic Skins
An all‐polyimide‐mediated assembly strategy resolves the fundamental conflict between physiological breathability and electromechanical robustness in wearable electronics. By integrating a polyamic acid‐encapsulated liquid metal ink onto an ultralight polyimide aerogel, imidization‐induced contraction enables low‐temperature conductive activation and ...

Identification of Blue Horizontal-Branch Stars From LAMOST DR5
We construct a new catalog of the blue horizontal-branch (BHB) stars from the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) DR5 dataset, which contains 5355+81 BHB stars at high Galactic latitude (($|Glat|>20^{\circ}$).

Context . Galactic globular clusters are a very important tool in explaining the characteristics of the Milky Way. Therefore it is essential to determine the kinematical and dynamical properties of the new star cluster candidates, especially at the low-latitude regions that suffer from heavy extinction and ...

Simulating supernova feedback in galaxy disks [PDF]
In this thesis I examine supernova feedback in hydrodynamical simulations of galaxy disks. Understanding this process entails the numerical evaluation of cooling in radiative shocks, and we present a set of simulations using two widely used numerical ...

Learning Highly Dynamic Skills Transition for Quadruped Jumping Through Constrained Space
A quadruped robot masters dynamic jumps through constrained spaces with animal‐inspired moves and intelligent vision control. This hierarchical learning approach combines imitation of biological agility with real‐time trajectory planning. Although legged animals are capable of performing explosive motions while traversing confined spaces, replicating ...

A codesign multiobjective optimization framework was developed to enhance the morphology and controller of a snake‐like robot driven by artificial muscles. It improved planar locomotion, agility, and power efficiency. The approach optimized link geometry and controller gains, revealing that shorter muscles near joints and longer linkages maximize ...
