RIGIDLY ROTATING STRANGE QUARK STARS
In this article, we study rotating strange quark stars in the context of general relativity. For this purpose we consider perfect fluid model composed of strange quark matter with electromagnetic field in the Gödel Universe which has rigid rotation. We solve Einstein's field equations by using equation of state for strange quark matter.

Rotational Modes in A Uniformly Rotating Star [PDF]
AbstractThe linear adiabatic oscillations of a uniformly rotating star are examined with respect to a co-rotating frame of reference. It is shown that time-independent displacement fields are allowed and can be represented as toroidal fields. The time-dependent oscillation modes are governed by a system of differential equations of the fourth order in ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Oscillations of Rapidly Rotating Stars [PDF]
AbstractWe present numerical simulations of gravito-inertial waves propagating in radiative zones of rapidly rotating stars. A first model, using the Boussinesq approximation, allows us to study the oscillations of a quasi-incompressible stratified fluid embedded in a rapidly rotating sphere or spherical shell. In a second step, we investigate the case

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These
