Determination of starting current and starting torque for asynchronous motors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Calculation of the starting parameters for three-phase asynchronous motors is a very important issue as these parameters determine whether a motor can be satisfactorily used in a driving system and characterize it from the point of view of supply mains ...

Starting with Emmanuel Levinas: Trails for a Renewed Politics of Emancipation in Front of Current Ultraconservative Trends

open access: yesLabyrinth: An International Journal for Philosophy, Value Theory and Sociocultural Hermeneutics
The ideological and political context at the end of the first quarter of the 21th century is characterized by a certain dynamic of ultraconservative tendencies on the European and American continents.

Partial FAK suppression promotes tumor growth, an effect reversed by macrophage p110δ PI3K inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Partial inhibition of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) can paradoxically promote tumor growth, rather than simply producing a weaker antitumor effect than that observed with strong FAK suppression. In breast cancer and melanoma models, targeting p110δ PI3K, particularly in macrophages, counteracted these tumor‐promoting effects, highlighting the importance ...

Starting current of the asynchronous machine

open access: yes, 2013
Předmětem této bakalářské práce je popsat jednotlivé druhy spouštění asynchronních motorů a jejich vliv na velikost záběrového proudu, dále změření velikosti záběrného proudu, proudu nakrátko a účiníku.

Profiling neoadjuvant therapy response in rectal cancer using meta‐analysis of publicly available transcriptomic RNA‐seq datasets

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates publicly available transcriptomic datasets to identify molecular signatures associated with response to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer. By analyzing a combination of multiple cohorts with bioinformatics approaches, we reveal biological pathways and immune‐related features that may improve ...

A note on ‘good starting values’ in numerical optimisation [PDF]

open access: yes
Many optimisation problems in finance and economics have multiple local optima or discontinuities in their objective functions. In such cases it is stressed that ‘good starting points are important’. We look into a particular example: calibrating a yield

Predictive and prognostic biomarkers of Bacillus Calmette‐Guérin therapy failure in bladder cancer patients: A systematic review

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
High‐risk bladder cancer is typically treated with Bacillus Calmette‐Guérin (BCG), but 30–40% of patients relapse. No FDA‐ or CE‐approved biomarkers currently predict or prognosticate BCG failure. We systematically reviewed the literature and identified 72 eligible studies, revealing several promising biomarkers associated with BCG treatment response ...

APOBEC3 activity and DNA polymerase‐ε deficiency are associated with distinct IDH1 R132 hotspot mutations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) mutations are highly recurrent in multiple human cancer types, including cholangiocarcinoma and glioma. IDH1 R132C is the most common IDH1 mutation in cholangiocarcinoma and likely arises from APOBEC3A‐ or APOBEC3B‐mediated deamination.

Research on Transient Characteristics of an Aviation Starter Motor Under Low Temperature and Pressure

open access: yesEnergies
To enhance the performance of aviation piston engine starters in high-altitude environments, this study investigated their transient starting characteristics under low-temperature and low-pressure conditions using a high-altitude simulation chamber ...

Extracellular matrix remodeling and immune reprogramming drive residual tumor progression of liver cancer after incomplete microwave ablation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Incomplete microwave ablation (iMWA) of liver cancer triggers a biphasic progression in residual tumors. At Day 3, the microenvironment is characterized by acute inflammatory responses and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling. By Day 14, a profound shift occurs toward oncogenic signal transduction and immunosuppression, marked by macrophage ...
