Robust state-derivative feedback LMI-based designs for multivariable linear systems

International Journal of Control, 2007
In some practical problems, for instance in the control systems for the suppression of vibration in mechanical systems, the state-derivative signals are easier to obtain than the state signals. New necessary and sufficient linear matrix inequalities (LMI) conditions for the design of state-derivative feedback for multi-input (MI) linear systems are ...

Parametric eigenstructure assignment using state-derivative feedback for linear systems

Journal of Vibration and Control, 2011
This paper addresses a complete parametric approach for solving the eigenstructure assignment problem using state-derivative feedback for multivariable linear systems. In the present work, both linear control systems with nonsingular and singular open-loop state matrices are treated and the corresponding parametric expressions to the feedback gains ...

Optimization based synthesis of state derivative feedback controllers for retarded systems

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2009
Abstract The paper presents an optimization based algorithm for stabilizing retarded systems using a state derivative feedback controller. It is shown that an application of such a controller results in neutral dynamics of the closed loop system if small feedback delays occur.

Dynamical order assignment in linear descriptor systems via state derivative feedback

Proceedings of the 41st IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002., 2004
In this paper, the dynamical order assignment problem for linear descriptor systems via state derivative feedback is studied. A new, direct and simple parametric approach is presented, which assigns via state derivative feedback any desired allowable dynamical order of the closed-loop system.

Stabilization of uncertain equilibrium points by dynamic state-derivative feedback control

2013 13th International Conference on Control, Automation and Systems (ICCAS 2013), 2013
We consider a local stabilization problem of an uncertain equilibrium point existed in a nonlinear continuous-time system by a state-derivative feedback controller. In previous researches, it is investigated that the uncertainty of the equilibrium point results in nonzero steady-state control input so that a different equilibrium point is stabilized ...

State-Derivative Feedback Control of Cable Vibration Using Semiactive Magnetorheological Dampers

Computer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, 2005
This paper presents the theoretical and in situ experimental studies on state-derivative feedback control of bridge cable vibration using semiactive magnetorheological (MR) dampers. Numerical simulations of state derivative feedback control for a stay cable in the cable stayed Dongting Lake Bridge are conducted under sweeping sine excitation and ...

Robust state-derivative feedback LMI-based designs for time-varying delay system

2011 International Conference on Communications, Computing and Control Applications (CCCA), 2011
This paper focuses on the problem of robust exponential stabilization for uncertain systems with time varying delays. Based on Lyapunov parameter dependent functional, a linear memoryless state-derivate feedback controller is synthesized to guarantee the exponential convergence.

Robust pole assignment by state-derivative feedback using gradient flow approach

2008 International Conference on Computer Engineering & Systems, 2008
This paper presents a gradient flow approach for computing the robust controller for linear systems using state-derivative feedback such that the sensitivity of the closed-loop system eigenvalues to perturbations in the system and gain matrix is minimized.

An LMI approach to admissibilization of descriptor systems via state derivative feedback

2015 World Congress on Information Technology and Computer Applications (WCITCA), 2015
This paper provides a technique for admissibilization of linear descriptor systems by state derivative feedback. Sufficient conditions are derived for the closed-loop system to be admissible are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). So, these conditions are reliable using numerical computations.
