A supervisory observer is a multiple-model architecture, which estimates the parameters and the states of nonlinear systems. It consists of a bank of state observers, where each observer is designed for some nominal parameter values sampled in a known ...

ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

Intravitreal GD2‐Specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy for Refractory Retinoblastoma
ABSTRACT Effective treatments for advanced, treatment‐resistant retinoblastoma (RB) remain limited. GD2‐specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells show potent antitumor activity with minimal toxicity but have not previously been evaluated in RB.

State Space Disturbance Observer Considering Residual Disturbance
This paper presents a novel disturbance observer (DOB) for overcoming the limitation of uniformly bounded stability in existing DOB-based control systems and to attain asymptotic stability.

On quantum state observability and measurement [PDF]
We consider the problem of determining the state of a quantum system given one or more readings of the expectation value of an observable. The system is assumed to be a finite dimensional quantum control system for which we can influence the dynamics by generating all the unitary evolutions in a Lie group.

Observation of a Chiral State in a Microwave Cavity [PDF]
A microwave experiment has been realized to measure the phase difference of the oscillating electric field at two points inside the cavity. The technique has been applied to a dissipative resonator which exhibits a singularity -- called exceptional point -- in its eigenvalue and eigenvector spectrum.

Outcomes of Live Virus Vaccination in Patients With Vascular Anomalies Being Treated With Sirolimus
ABSTRACT Background Live vaccination in patients with vascular anomalies (VA) receiving sirolimus remains controversial due to immunosuppressive effects and theoretical risks. Procedure This single‐center retrospective study included patients with VA less than 4 years old at the start of sirolimus therapy who were incompletely vaccinated.

Fixed-Time Formation Control for Multi-Unmanned Surface Vessel Systems with Input Delay
In recent years, fixed-time formation control has become a major research focus in multi-unmanned surface vessel(USV) systems. A critical challenge in achieving fixed-time formation in these systems is handling input delays.

Observability, Reconstructibility and State Observers of Boolean Control Networks [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to introduce and characterize observability and reconstructibility properties for Boolean networks and Boolean control networks, described according to the algebraic approach proposed by D. Cheng and co-authors in the series of papers [3], [6], [7] and in the recent monography .

On Macroscopic Complexity and Perceptual Coding [PDF]
The theoretical limits of 'lossy' data compression algorithms are considered. The complexity of an object as seen by a macroscopic observer is the size of the perceptual code which discards all information that can be lost without altering the perception
