Improvement of The Battery State of Charge Estimation Using Recursive Least Square Based Adaptive Extended Kalman Filter [PDF]
Battery Management System (BMS) including measurements errors that causes decrease in the quality of calculated State of the Charge (SOC). It will limit the accurate estimation of the SOC that is a critical challenge in some of the engineering fields

Vehicle electrification has been proven to be an efficient way to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and solve the energy crisis. Lithium-ion batteries (LiBs) are considered the dominant energy storage medium for electric vehicles (EVs) owing to their high ...

Charge state manipulation of qubits in diamond [PDF]
The nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centre in diamond is a promising candidate for a solid-state qubit. However, its charge state is known to be unstable, discharging from the qubit state NV(-) into the neutral state NV(0) under various circumstances. Here we demonstrate that the charge state can be controlled by an electrolytic gate electrode.

Phase separation in systems with charge ordering [PDF]
A simple model of charge ordering is considered. It is shown explicitly that at any deviation from half-filling ($n \neq 1/2$) the system is unstable with respect to phase separation into charge ordered regions with $n = 1/2$ and metallic regions with ...

Differential capacity dQ/dU (capacitance) can be used for the instant diagnosis of battery performance in common constant current applications. A novel criterion allows state-of-charge (SOC) and state-of-health (SOH) monitoring of lithium-ion batteries ...

Multiply charged vortex states of polariton condensates
The existence of quantized vortices is a key feature of Bose–Einstein condensates. In equilibrium condensates, only quantum vortices of unit topological charge are stable, due to the dynamical instabilities of multiply charged defects, unless supported by strong external rotation. Due to immense interest in the physics of these topological excitations,

Change of the starter battery operability in modeling failures
One of the most common causes of vehicle failures in our country and abroad is battery failure. The main reason for this is a lack of information about changes in the technical condition of the battery, which makes battery faults (including low charge ...

Correlated-electron description of the photophysics of thin films of $\pi$-conjugated polymers
We extend Mulliken's theory of ground state charge transfer in a donor-acceptor complex to excited state charge transfer between pairs of identical $\pi$-conjugated oligomers, one of which is in the optically excited state and the other in the ground ...
