Theory of Statistical Fluctuations in Neutron Distributions [PDF]
Statistical fluctuations in neutron and precursor distributions in a reactor are investigated in a continuous phase space. The theory is constructed on the basis of Ramakrishnan's product density and of the concept of “detectrons”. The basic equations for the product densities of degree 2 are derived and solved.

Zero-bias anomaly and role of electronic correlations in a disordered metal film
Localization and electron correlation play significant roles in understanding the electronic states of low-dimensional systems. We carried out the tunneling spectroscopy measurements on a crystalline nano-sized island and a disordered two-dimensional ...

On the theory of order statistics of the flexible Lomax distribution
This paper studies the flexible Lomax distribution’s order statistics with graphical and numerical findings. Along with the quantitative measurements, some plots are furnished, including those for the skewness and kurtosis measures. We will dwell on the numerous results that relate to statistics of moments of order.

ABSTRACT Background Wilms tumor (WT) treatment imposes a significant time burden on patients and their families. Time toxicity is a patient‐centered metric that quantifies the burden of healthcare interaction. We sought to define time toxicity in the first year after diagnosis of WT and hypothesized that it would increase as tumor stage and treatment ...

Nonextensive Statistical Mechanics: Equivalence Between Dual Entropy and Dual Probabilities
The concept of duality of probability distributions constitutes a fundamental “brick” in the solid framework of nonextensive statistical mechanics—the generalization of Boltzmann–Gibbs statistical mechanics under the consideration of the q-entropy.

ABSTRACT Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a relapsing autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. High‐dose intravenous methylprednisolone (IVMP) is the standard first‐line therapy for acute attacks, although some patients remain refractory.

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Beyond Gibbs-Boltzmann-Shannon: General Entropies -- The Gibbs-Lorentzian Example
We propose a generalisation of Gibbs' statistical mechanics into the domain of non-negligible phase space correlations. Derived are the probability distribution and entropy as a generalised ensemble average, replacing Gibbs-Boltzmann-Shannon's entropy ...
