The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Measurement of the W boson mass

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
The W boson mass is measured using proton-proton collision data at s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 fb −1 recorded during 2016 by the LHCb experiment.

General Distribution Theory of the Concomitants of Order Statistics

open access: yesThe Annals of Statistics, 1977
Let $(X_i, Y_i) (i = 1, 2, \cdots, n)$ be $n$ independent $\mathrm{rv}$'s from some bivariate distribution. If $X_{r:n}$ denotes the $r$th ordered $X$-variate, then the $Y$-variate $Y_{\lbrack r:n\rbrack}$ paired with $X_{r:n}$ is termed the concomitant of the $r$th order statistics.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

New Lifetime Alpha Power Exponential Weibull Distribution: Structure and Properties

open access: yesIbn Al-Haitham Journal for Pure and Applied Sciences
In statistics theory, adding a new parameter is considered one of the important things that help in producing statistical distributions more flexible and appropriate in data analysis.

Maximum Configuration Principle for Driven Systems with Arbitrary Driving

open access: yesEntropy, 2018
Depending on context, the term entropy is used for a thermodynamic quantity, a measure of available choice, a quantity to measure information, or, in the context of statistical inference, a maximum configuration predictor.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Statistical theory of self-similarly distributed fields [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters A, 2009
A field theory is built for self-similar statistical systems with both generating functional being the Mellin transform of the Tsallis exponential and generator of the scale transformation that is reduced to the Jackson derivate. With such a choice, the role of a fluctuating order parameter is shown to play deformed logarithm of the amplitude of a ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
