Statistical modelling of software reliability [PDF]

open access: yes
During the six-month period from 1 April 1991 to 30 September 1991 the following research papers in statistical modeling of software reliability appeared: (1) A Nonparametric Software Reliability Growth Model; (2) On the Use and the Performance of ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Konzeption und Entwicklung eines Flipped Classroom-basierten Online-Softwarekurses für Medizinstatistik

open access: yesGMS Medizinische Informatik, Biometrie und Epidemiologie
Teaching medical statistics for students of human medicine should include both theoretical content as well as its implementation in practice using statistical software. The training period with a software may be time-consuming individually, so there is a

Web-based Tools for the Analysis of DNA Microarrays [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
End of project reportDNA microarrays are widely used for gene expression profiling. Raw data resulting from microarray experiments, however, tends to be very noisy and there are many sources of technical variation and bias.

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Mean centering is not necessary in regression analyses, and probably increases the risk of incorrectly interpreting coefficients

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology
Scholars trained in the use of factorial ANOVAs have increasingly begun using linear modelling techniques. When models contain interactions between continuous variables (or powers of them), it has long been argued that it is necessary to mean center ...

Statistical user interfaces [PDF]

open access: yes
A statistical user interface is an interface between a human user and a statistical software package. Whenever we use a statistical software package we want to solve a specific statistical problem.
