NEW METHODS FOR TUNING OF MECHANICAL SYSTEMS DURING OPERATION IN STEADY STATE [PDF]
The main purpose of this paper is to inform the technical community about new tuning methods of torsional oscillating mechanical systems (TOMS) during operation in a steady state by means of application of pneumatic flexible shaft couplings.

Supermodes of high-repetition-rate passively mode-locked semiconductor lasers [PDF]
We present a steady-state analysis of high-repetition-rate passively mode-locked semiconductor lasers. The analysis includes effects of amplitude-to-phase coupling in both gain and absorber sections. A many-mode eigenvalue approach is presented to obtain

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Rapid analysis & design methodologies of High-Frequency LCLC Resonant Inverter as Electrodeless Fluorescent Lamp Ballast [PDF]
The papers presents methodologies for the analysis of 4th-order LCLC resonant power converters operating at 2.63 MHz as fluorescent lamp ballasts, where high frequency operation facilitates capacitive discharge into the tube, with near resonance ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Quantum entanglement and teleportation in pulsed cavity-optomechanics
Entangling a mechanical oscillator with an optical mode is an enticing and yet a very challenging goal in cavity optomechanics. Here we consider a pulsed scheme to create Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen-type entanglement between a traveling-wave light pulse and ...

Issues in the design of switched linear systems : a benchmark study [PDF]
In this paper we present a tutorial overview of some of the issues that arise in the design of switched linear control systems. Particular emphasis is given to issues relating to stability and control system realisation. A benchmark regulation problem is
