Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Semiempirical versus Theoretical Stellar Population Models: A Comparison with Star Clusters
Stellar population synthesis (SPS) models are a key tool for deriving the age, metallicity, radial velocity, and reddening of star clusters from their integrated spectra.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Model Choice Matters for Age Inference on the Red Giant Branch
Galactic archaeology relies on accurate stellar parameters to reconstruct the Galaxy's history, including information on stellar ages. While the precision of data has improved significantly in recent years, stellar models used for age inference have not ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Within the molecular clouds of the Camelopardis OB1 (Cam OB1) association exists a region previously noted as one subgroup. However, bulk clustering from Gaia astrometry has recently shown three distinctive kinematically coherent groups, all found in a ...

Use of Redshifts as Evidence of Dark Energy
The large-scale dynamics of the universe is generally described in terms of the time-dependent scale factor a(t). To make contact with observational data, the a(t) function needs to be related to the observable z(r) function, redshift versus distance ...
