Fibrillar Bundles as Fibrous Filler Materials for Attaining Cell Anisotropy in Bioprinting

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Fibrillar bundles are introduced as a bioprintable additive that enables robust and scalable cellular alignment within 3D constructs through flow‐induced orientation during extrusion. These fibers support strong cell adhesion and polarization across various cell types and significantly enhance myotube alignment in Gelatine‐Methacryloyl (GelMA ...

Targeting the ARRDC3–DRP1 Axis via hUMSC‐Derived Exosomal CRYAB for Neuroprotection in Cerebral Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Intranasally administered hUMSC‐derived exosomes modulate the CRYAB–ARRDC3–Drp1 axis, alleviating mitochondrial dysfunction and ferroptosis, enhancing neuronal survival, reducing oxidative stress, and promoting functional recovery in ischemia‐reperfusion injury, offering a promising therapeutic strategy for ischemic stroke.

Self‐Assembling Peptide Hydrogels Support Stromal Vascular Fraction Viability to Promote In Vivo Nerve Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Stromal vascular fraction (SVF) may enhance nerve repair, especially when delivered in a self‐assembling peptide hydrogel (SAPH). In vitro, softer SAPH increased neuronal explant outgrowth and supported greater SVF viability and proliferation. In a rat sciatic defect, SVF in an optimized SAPH produced motor and sensory recovery equivalent to autograft ...

Mesenchymal Stem Cell‐Derived Apoptotic Micro‐Vesicles Repaired Sciatic Nerve Defect by Regulating Early Inflammatory Microenvironment and Promoting Angiogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
HUCMSC‐Apo‐mvs enhance peripheral nerve repair by modulating the inflammatory microenvironment (IME), primarily through coordinated actions on three functional cells. They recruit macrophages and promote their polarization from pro‐inflammatory M1 to anti‐inflammatory M2 phenotypes, increasing secretion of IL‐10 and VEGF.

The outcome of Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation in First Complete Remission Acute Myeloid Leukemia Patients- Single Center Study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Hematology-Oncology and Stem Cell Research, 2011
Post-remission treatment in patients with acute myeloid leukemia is still controversial. One potent choice for patients with no donor available is autologous stem cell transplantation.

Triazine‐Trione Thermosets with High Processability for Scaffold Applications in Bone Tissue Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Novel photo‐clickable triazine‐trione thermosets can be shaped and cured under mild conditions, including room and physiological temperatures. These materials are biocompatible and support osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow–derived mesenchymal stem cells on their surface.

Allogeneic stem Cell Transplantation outcome in acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Patients

open access: yesInternational Journal of Hematology-Oncology and Stem Cell Research, 2015
Introduction: Despite achievement to complete remission (CR) with current treatments and new multiple chemotherapeutic agents in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) patients, the majority of them still relapse during long-term follow-up.
