Engineered Peptides‐Based Hybrid‐Nested Microneedle Effectively Treat Biofilm‐Infected Diabetic Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid‐nested microneedle/cryogel scaffold (MQW‐CMg‐MOF) is designed for efficient biofilm removal and accelerated healing of diabetic wounds. The scaffold shows substantial biofilm removal in vitro and in a preclinical diabetic swine biofilm‐infected wound model compared to the control.

Isologous Diversification: A Theory of Cell Differentiation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1996
Isologous diversification theory for cell differentiation is proposed, based on simulations of interacting cells with biochemical networks and cell division process following consumption of some chemicals. According to the simulations of the interaction-based dynamical systems model, the following scenario of the cell differentiation is proposed.

Autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation vs intravenous pulse cyclophosphamide in diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis: a randomized clinical trial.

open access: yesJournal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), 2014
IMPORTANCE High-dose immunosuppressive therapy and autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) have shown efficacy in systemic sclerosis in phase 1 and small phase 2 trials.

Stem cell transplantation in India [PDF]

open access: yesBone Marrow Transplantation, 2008
This paper outlines the BMT activity in India and describes in some detail the transplant program at the Christian Medical College, Vellore. In September 2005, data from six transplant centers in India were collected and a total of 1540 transplants have been performed in a country of over one billion population.

Engineering Novel DNA Nanoarchitectures for Targeted Drug Delivery and Aptamer Mediated Apoptosis in Cancer Therapeutics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Designer DNA Architecture‐templated Drug Conjugates (DDA‐DCs) are comprised of a DNA nanomaterial decorated with multiple drug‐loaded DNA aptamers. DDA‐DCs use a combination of multiple aptamer types, each recognizing a different membrane protein to achieve precise targeting of cancer cells.

Intraoral Drug Delivery: Bridging the Gap Between Academic Research and Industrial Innovations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intraoral drug delivery offers a promising route for systemic and localized therapies, yet challenges such as enzymatic degradation, limited permeability, and microbial interactions hinder efficacy. This figure highlights innovative strategies—mucoadhesive materials, enzyme inhibitors, and permeation enhancers—to overcome these barriers.

A Theory of Differentiation with Dynamic Clustering [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1995
A novel theory for cell differentiation is proposed, based on simulations with interacting artificial cells which have metabolic networks within, and divide into two when the final product is accumulated. Results of simulations with coupled chemical networks and division process lead to the following scenario of the differentiation: Up to some numbers ...
