Monocyte LOXHD1 and RHOB Expression Predictive of Progressive Systemic Sclerosis–Associated Interstitial Lung Disease

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective A leading cause of death among patients with scleroderma (SSc), interstitial lung disease (ILD) remains challenging to prognosticate. The discovery of biomarkers that accurately determine which patients would benefit from close monitoring and aggressive therapy would be an essential clinical tool.

DP099 | BISPECIFIC ANTIBODIES FOLLOWED BY ALLOGENEIC HEMATOPOIETIC STEM CELL TRANSPLANTATION AS RESCUE THERAPY IN REFRACTORY/RELAPSE NON-HODGKIN LYMPHOMA

open access: yesHaematologica
Background: Allogeneic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) emerges as a consolidation option in high-risk lymphoma patients (pts) rescued with bispecific antibodies (BiAb) but data on safety and efficacy are still limited.

Intensification of Treosulfan-Fludarabine Conditioning With Thiotepa Exhibited Effectiveness and Tolerability in Older or Comorbid Patients Undergoing Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant With Active Myeloid Neoplasm: A Real-world Study

open access: yesTransplantation Direct
Background. Reduced-intensity regimens such as treosulfan-fludarabine (TF) are currently considered cornerstones for older or comorbid patients with acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome (AML/MDS) undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem ...

Limbal stem cell transplantation.

open access: yesIndian journal of ophthalmology, 2004
The past two decades have witnessed remarkable progress in limbal stem cell transplantation. In addition to harvesting stem cells from a cadaver or a live related donor, it is now possible to cultivate limbal stem cells in vitro and then transplant them onto the recipient bed.

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Multifunctional Microstructured Surfaces by Microcontact Printing of Reactive Microgels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Reactive poly(N‐vinylcaprolactam‐co‐glycidyl methacrylate) microgels are used as functional inks to create surface‐grafted arrays on glass via microcontact printing. The patterns (10–50 µm widths and spacings) enable stable binding and post‐functionalization with dyes and peptides.

Germanane Quantum Dots Promote Metabolic Reprogramming of Immune Cells Toward Regulatory T Cells and Suppress Inflammation In Vitro and In Vivo

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metabolic changes in immune cells direct the phenotype and function of the host immune system. Smart nanomaterials must target metabolic pathways to direct immune cell fate. This study reports the fabrication and first application of germanane quantum dots (GeHQDs) to modulate inflammation in vitro and in vivo.

Stem cells and stem cell transplantation.

open access: yesHaematologica, 1997
Stem cell transplantation (SCT) is an increasingly used therapeutic approach for the treatment of hematological and non-hematological disease of neoplastic and non-neoplastic origin. How the phenomena controlling blood cell production take place during SCT is still largely unclear.
