The membrane‐active peptide Pep19‐2.5 reduces harmful inflammation by blocking activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome at trans‐Golgi network membranes. By targeting key membrane interactions, Pep19‐2.5 suppresses inflammatory IL‐1β production and alleviates allergic airway inflammation in mice, leading to reduced immune cell infiltration and improved ...

In microglia, STAT3 upregulates TAB2, which promotes NF‐κB activation through its NZF domain‐mediated recognition of K63‐linked ubiquitin chains, leading to inflammatory cytokine release and subsequent neuronal injury. Lumacaftor suppresses TAB2 expression and directly binds the TAB2‐NZF domain to interrupt K63 ubiquitin recognition, thereby blocking ...

Stereology with cylinder probes
Intersection formulae of Croton type for general geometric probes are well known in integral geometry. For the special case of cylinders with non necessarily convex direktrix, however, no equivalent formula seems to exist in the literature.

Abstract Sexual differentiation in the equine fetus involves coordinated morphogenetic processes that shape both the gonads and the genital ducts. Although the formation of testes and ovaries has been relatively well documented, the temporal dynamics and morphometric patterns of the mesonephric (Wolffian) and paramesonephric (Müllerian) ducts remain ...

Evaluation of Drillability of the Mahu Conglomerate Formation in Xinjiang, China
This graphical abstract illustrates the workflow for developing an optimized prediction model using measurement while drilling (MWD) data. A total of 90 MWD cases are divided into a training set (80%) and a test set (20%). Four logging‐while‐drilling parameters—compensation density, acoustic travel time, resistivity, and neutron porosity—are selected ...

STEREOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF SHAPE
This paper concerns the problem of making stereological inference about the shape variability in a population of spatial particles. Under rotational invariance the shape variability can be estimated from central planar sections through the particles. A simple, but flexible, parametric model for rotation invariant spatial particles is suggested.

We provide a historic overview of microscopic soil structure characterization from its founding father, Walter Kubiëna, to several technical revolutions like automation, digitalization, and artificial intelligence. In addition to technical advancements, we explore how concepts and research questions have evolved in time.
