Precise delineation of radiation targets for thoracic tumors in the immunotherapy era: from immune mechanisms to clinical practice

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
RT‐immunotherapy synergy for thoracic tumors relies on precise target delineation to protect immune components. IFI, reduced volumes, and optimized positioning minimize damage, while multimodal imaging, DL, PBT, and FLASH‐RT enhance control. These innovations shift RT to an immune‐centric model, improving lung and esophageal cancer outcomes.

Stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy in patients with prostate cancer

open access: yesTranslational Andrology and Urology, 2018
Prostate is the most common non-cutaneous cancer diagnosed among men in North America. Fortunately most prostate cancers are screen detected and non-metastatic on diagnosis. Treatment options for men with localized prostate cancer include surgery ± postoperative radiation or radiation ± androgen deprivation therapy (ADT).

Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia Quality Care Guidelines for Renal Tumour Ablation in Australia and New Zealand

open access: yesJournal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Image‐guided thermal ablation (radiofrequency, cryo‐ and microwave ablation) is a safe and effective primary treatment for small renal mass and localised renal cell carcinoma ≤ 4 cm (T1a) with long‐term cancer‐specific survival rates equivalent to surgical resection (Level A).

Re-irradiation of adrenal metastases using MR-guided adaptive SABR: A feasible and effective approach in a high-risk population

open access: yesClinical and Translational Radiation Oncology
Re-irradiation of adrenal metastases is challenging due to cumulative dose constraints. We present seven patients treated with MR-guided adaptive stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR), leveraging real-time imaging and on-table adaptation for precise ...

Adoption of Hypofractionated Radiation Therapy and Quality of Life Outcomes for Localised Prostate Cancer in an Australian Population‐Based Cohort

open access: yesJournal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives We aimed to evaluate the adoption of hypofractionated radiotherapy (HFRT) for localised prostate cancer (PCa) and the quality of life (QOL) outcomes at a population‐based level in Victoria. Methods This is a population‐based cohort of individuals with PCa registered in the Victorian Prostate Cancer Outcomes Registry (PCOR‐Vic) who ...
