Drimane sesquiterpene esters produced by Aspergillus insuetus BF-1613 as inhibitors of sterol O-acyltransferase.

The Journal of Antibiotics
A new drimane sesquiterpene ester, designated insuetusolate (1), and four reported ones (2-5) were isolated from a culture broth of Aspergillus insuetus BF-1613. The chemical structure of 1 was elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analyses, including MS and NMR.

Abstract 5468: A pharmacological inhibition of sterol O-acyltransferase 1improves response to enzalutamide in prostate cancer

Cancer Research, 2022
Prostate cancer (PCa) growth is mediated by androgens via activation of androgen receptor (AR). Accordingly, androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) is the gold standard for the treatment of advanced PCa, but progression to castration-resistant PCa (CRPC ...

Callyspongiamides A and B, sterol O-acyltransferase inhibitors, from the Indonesian marine sponge Callyspongia sp.

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2018
Callyspongiamides A (1) and B (2), two new sterol O-acyltransferase (SOAT) inhibitors, were isolated from the Indonesian marine sponge Callyspongia sp. together with a known congener, dysamide A (3). The structures of 1 and 2 were elucidated to be polychlorine-containing modified dipeptides based on their spectroscopic data.

Heterologous Biosynthesis of the Sterol O-Acyltransferase Inhibitor Helvamide Unveils an α-Ketoglutarate-Dependent Cross-Linking Oxygenase.

Organic Letters
We have identified the biosynthetic gene cluster (hvm) for the sterol O-acyltransferase inhibitor helvamide (1) from the genome of Aspergillus rugulosus MST-FP2007. Heterologous expression of hvm in A.
