The block backward differentiation method of finding solution to stiff Initial Value Problems (IVPs)

open access: yes, 2021
In this paper research work we designed Block Backward Differential Formulas (BBDFs) that is able to generate solutions to stiff Initial Value Problems (IVPs) using Lagrangian Interpolation Method. The region of absolute stability (RAS) was also obtained.

A Class of Two-Derivative Two-Step Runge-Kutta Methods for Non-Stiff ODEs

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2019
In this paper, a new class of two-derivative two-step Runge-Kutta (TDTSRK) methods for the numerical solution of non-stiff initial value problems (IVPs) in ordinary differential equation (ODEs) is considered.

One-Step Embedded Hybrid Block Method for Solving First Order Stiff Initial Value Problems of Ordinary Differential Equations

open access: yes, 2022
We propose a new hybrid method by embedding the extended four-step backward differentiation formulae of Akinfenwa & Jator (2015) into a one-step method by a continuous approximation via multistep collocation technique for the solution of first-order ...

Continuous Runge–Kutta schemes for pantograph type delay differential equations

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
Pantograph differential equations are important types of delay differential equations. Using continuous mono-implicit RK schemes, we propose a numerical method for numerically approximating pantograph delay differential equations that are reliable and ...

A New Numerical Method for Solving Stiff Initial Value Problems

open access: yesFluid Mechanics: Open Access, 2016
A new numerical method that computes 2–points simultaneously at each step of integration is derived. The numerical scheme is achieved by modifying an existing DI2BBDF method. The method is of order 2. The stability analysis of the new method indicates that it is both zero and A–stable, implying that it is suitable for stiff problems.

A fourth order exponentially-fitted multiderivative method for Stiff initial value problems

open access: yes, 2008
A class of fourth order exponential–fitted multiderivative method for the numerical integration of stiff initial value problems is designed. The method is derived with certain free parameters ‘a' and ‘b', which allow it to be fitted automatically to ...
