Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Improved Crystalline Quality of AlN by Epitaxial Lateral Overgrowth Using Two-Phase Growth Method for Deep-Ultraviolet Stimulated Emission

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2016
We report on the maskless epitaxial lateral overgrowth (ELOG) of the AlN layer on trench-patterned AlN/sapphire templates by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD).

Self-stimulated Emission of Undulator Radiation

open access: yes, 2010
We attract attention that interaction of particle in downstream undulator with its own wavelet emitted in upstream undulator could be as strong as with the frictional field in undulator itself. This phenomenon could be used for enhancement of signal from

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Masers

open access: yes, 2011
An astrophysical MASER (Microwave Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) is a source of stimulated spectral line emission. Maser emission is observed from the circumstellar envelopes of evolved stars, molecular clouds/star-forming regions ...

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Spontaneous and stimulated emission tuning characteristics of a Josephson junction in a microcavity

open access: yes, 2004
We have investigated theoretically the tuning characteristics of a Josephson junction within a microcavity for one-photon spontaneous emission and for one-photon and two-photon stimulated emission. For spontaneous emission, we have established the linear

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Stimulated Emission from InAs (GaAs) Monolayers Stacks Embedded in Al0.33Ga0.67As Ective Region

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2002
Our study is focused on the optical and electronic properties of InAs (GaAs) monolayers embedded in Al0.33GA0.67As barrier layers investigated by temperature dependencies of electroluminescence spectra.

Temporal stimulated intersubband emission of photoexcited electrons

open access: yes, 2005
We have studied the transient evolution of electrons distributed over two levels in a wide quantum well, with the two levels below the optical phonon energy, after an ultrafast interband excitation and cascade emission of optical phonons.
