Keggin‐Type Aluminum Polyoxometalate‐Mediated Oxidation of Amorphous Carbon for Engineered Electrochemical Interfaces

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Keggin‐type Al‐POM‐coated silica achieves selective surface oxidation of amorphous carbon through electrostatic attraction and proton‐coupled oxidation, tailoring interfacial properties for lithium‐ion batteries and semiconductor processes. ABSTRACT Amorphous carbon is widely used in energy storage and semiconductor technologies, where surface ...

Metasurface Enhanced Photothermal Cement Foam for Robust and High‐Throughput Seawater Desalination

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Schematic of 3D metasurface‐enhanced cement foam for robust and high‐throughput seawater desalination. This study presents a cement‐based solar evaporator (CSE) fabricated in one step via viscoelastic lithography with simple negative pressure. In addition to boosting solar‐to‐vapor conversion efficiency via excellent light‐harvesting capacity, the ...

Stimulated Raman scattering enhanced by stimulated Brillouin scattering

Optics Letters, 2009
A phenomenon of stimulated Raman scattering enhanced by stimulated Brillouin scattering is investigated experimentally. Also, this phenomenon is analyzed based on physical mechanisms. It is shown that the pumping effect of stimulated Brillouin scattering on backstimulated Raman scattering is a commonly existing rule regardless of the experiment ...

Advances in stimulated Raman scattering in nanostructures

Advances in Optics and Photonics, 2017
Stimulated Raman scattering is essentially a "light amplification," and some of the most important applications are light amplifiers and laser sources. Important achievements have been obtained in the fields of fiber amplification and integrated photonics.

Stimulated Raman scattering in fibers in the ultraviolet

Optics Letters, 1983
Efficient stimulated Raman scattering at 342 nm was obtained in multimode fused-silica fibers pumped by a conventional N(2) laser. The values of the intensity-dependent absorption coefficient and the Raman-gain coefficient were determined: alpha(1), = 3.3x10(-6) cm/MW and gamma = 2.9 x 10(-11) cm/W, respectively.

Selective Suppression of Stimulated Raman Scattering with Another Competing Stimulated Raman Scattering

The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2017
A three-beam femtosecond stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) scheme is formulated and demonstrated to simultaneously induce two different SRS processes associated with Raman-active modes in the same molecule. Two SR gains involving a common pump pulse are coupled and compete: As one of the Stokes beam intensities increases, the other SRS is selectively ...
