Experimental and numerical study on mode I interlaminar fracture toughness of lightly stitched ceramic-matrix composites

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2020
To determine whether the mode I interlaminar fracture toughness of the lightly stitched ceramic-matrix composites (CMCs) can be characterized by a single equivalent energy release rate value, a critical stitch density was obtained through modified double

Probability Density Estimation through Nonparametric Adaptive Partitioning and Stitching

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2023
We present a novel nonparametric adaptive partitioning and stitching (NAPS) algorithm to estimate a probability density function (PDF) of a single variable. Sampled data is partitioned into blocks using a branching tree algorithm that minimizes deviations from a uniform density within blocks of various sample sizes arranged in a staggered format.

A High-Performance Triple Patterning Layout Decomposer with Balanced Density [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Triple patterning lithography (TPL) has received more and more attentions from industry as one of the leading candidate for 14nm/11nm nodes. In this paper, we propose a high performance layout decomposer for TPL.

The Merger Rates and Mass Assembly Histories of Dark Matter Haloes in the Two Millennium Simulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We construct merger trees of dark matter haloes and quantify their merger rates and mass growth rates using the joint dataset from the Millennium and Millennium-II simulations. The finer resolution of the Millennium-II Simulation has allowed us to extend
