Singular mean-field control games with applications to optimal harvesting and investment problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper studies singular mean field control problems and singular mean field stochastic differential games. Both sufficient and necessary conditions for the optimal controls and for the Nash equilibrium are obtained.

Information Transmission Strategies for Self‐Organized Robotic Aggregation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
In this review, we discuss how information transmission influences the neighbor‐based self‐organized aggregation of swarm robots. We focus specifically on local interactions regarding information transfer and categorize previous studies based on the functions of the information exchanged.

Stochastic Adaptive Linear Quadratic Differential Games

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control
Game theory is playing more and more important roles in understanding complex systems and in investigating intelligent machines with various uncertainties. As a starting point, we consider the classical two-player zero-sum linear-quadratic stochastic differential games, but in contrast to most of the existing studies, the coefficient matrices of the ...

Chronic Hypoxia Disrupts Spermatogenesis Through ASXL2–EZH2–Mediated Microtubule Destabilization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals the mechanism by which chronic hypoxia impairs spermatogenesis via the ASXL2–EZH2 axis, hindering the transition of spermatids from round to elongated forms. Key findings reveal that under hypoxic conditions, downregulated ASXL2 expression reduces EZH2 binding to the CEP162 promoter, leading to decreased H3K27me3 modification and ...

Stubbornness as Control in Professional Soccer Games: A BPPSDE Approach

open access: yesMathematics
This paper defines stubbornness as an optimal feedback Nash equilibrium within a dynamic setting. Stubbornness is treated as a player-specific parameter, with the team’s coach initially selecting players based on their stubbornness and making ...

Stochastic Differential Games and Energy-Efficient Power Control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
One of the contributions of this work is to formulate the problem of energy-efficient power control in multiple access channels (namely, channels which comprise several transmitters and one receiver) as a stochastic differential game. The players are the

Heuristically Adaptive Diffusion‐Model Evolutionary Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Building on the mathematical equivalence between diffusion models and evolutionary algorithms, researchers demonstrate unprecedented control over evolutionary optimization through conditional diffusion. By training diffusion models to associate parameters with specific traits, they can guide evolution toward solutions exhibiting desired behaviors ...

Stochastic differential games with inside information

open access: yes, 2015
We study stochastic differential games of jump diffusions, where the players have access to inside information. Our approach is based on anticipative stochastic calculus, white noise, Hida-Malliavin calculus, forward integrals and the Donsker delta ...

Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.
