Stochastic homogenization of nonconvex unbounded integral functionals with convex growth

open access: yes, 2015
We consider the well-travelled problem of homogenization of random integral functionals. When the integrand has standard growth conditions, the qualitative theory is well-understood. When it comes to unbounded functionals, that is, when the domain of the

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Existence of solutions for second-order differential inclusions involving proximal normal cones [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this work, we prove global existence of solutions for second order differential problems in a general framework. More precisely, we consider second order differential inclusions involving proximal normal cone to a set-valued map.

A stochastic inertial forward-backward splitting algorithm for multivariate monotone inclusions

open access: yes, 2015
We propose an inertial forward-backward splitting algorithm to compute the zero of a sum of two monotone operators allowing for stochastic errors in the computation of the operators.

Light‐Controlled Reversible Coassembly of Hybrid Functional Nanostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Light‐responsive hybrid nanostructures are formed by coassembling azobenzene‐ and PAH‐functionalized nanoparticles through reversible an tunable π interactions. The system enables tunable coupling between distinct components such as gold and magnetite or carbon nanotubes, producing switchable optical and magnetic properties under light and magnetic ...

The effects of Clarke sub-differential and Poisson jumps on nonlocal controllability of Sobolev-type fractional stochastic differential inclusions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications
This paper explores Sobolev-type Atangana–Baleanu fractional stochastic differential inclusions driven by fractional Brownian motion, incorporating Clarke sub-differentials, Poisson jumps, and nonlocal conditions.

Hydrodynamic Collective Effects of Active Protein Machines in Solution and Lipid Bilayers

open access: yes, 2015
The cytoplasm and biomembranes in biological cells contain large numbers of proteins that cyclically change their shapes. They are molecular machines that can function as molecular motors or carry out many other tasks in the cell.

Prospects of Electric Field Control in Perpendicular Magnetic Tunnel Junctions and Emerging 2D Spintronics for Ultralow Energy Memory and Logic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electric control of magnetic tunnel junctions offers a path to drastically reduce the energy requirements of the device. Electric field control of magnetization can be realized in a multitude of ways. These mechanisms can be integrated into existing spintronic devices to further reduce the operational energy.

A New Study on the Approximate Controllability of Sobolev-Type Stochastic ABC-Fractional Impulsive Differential Inclusions with Clarke Sub-Differential and Poisson Jumps

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
This paper undertakes a rigorous analytical exposition of the approximate controllability of a novel class of Sobolev-type stochastic impulsive differential inclusions, incorporating the Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivative in the Caputo configuration ...

A numerical approach related to defect-type theories for some weakly random problems in homogenization

open access: yes, 2010
We present in this paper an approach for computing the homogenized behavior of a medium that is a small random perturbation of a periodic reference material. The random perturbation we consider is, in a sense made precise in our work, a rare event at the
