Stochastic Discontinuous Galerkin Methods (SDGM) based on fluctuation-dissipation balance
We introduce a general framework for approximating parabolic Stochastic Partial Differential Equations (SPDEs) based on fluctuation-dissipation balance. Using this approach we formulate Stochastic Discontinuous Galerkin Methods (SDGM).

The Foundations of Stochastic Geometry
We show how to build models of random collections of geometrical objects: lines, circles, line segments, etc. This basic problem in stochastic geometry is solved using the theory of point processes on abstract spaces.

Single Solid‐State Ion Channels as Potentiometric Nanosensors
Single gold nanopores functionalized with mixed self‐assembled monolayers act as solid‐state ion channels for direct, selective potentiometric sensing of inorganic ions (Ag⁺). The design overcomes key miniaturization barriers of conventional ion‐selective electrodes by combining low resistivity with suppressed loss of active components, enabling robust

Semigroups of finite-dimensional random projections [PDF]
In this paper we present a complete description of a stochastic semigroup of finite-dimensional projections in Hilbert space. The geometry of such semigroups is characterized by the asymptotic behavior of the widths of compact subsets with respect to the

Stochastic Geometry Modeling and Performance Evaluation of mmWave Cellular Communications
In this paper, a new mathematical framework to the analysis of millimeter wave cellular networks is introduced. Its peculiarity lies in considering realistic path-loss and blockage models, which are derived from experimental data recently reported in the

In situ TEM uncovers the atomic‐scale mechanisms underlying hydrogen‐driven γ‐Fe2O3→Fe3O4→FeO reduction. In γ‐Fe2O3, oxygen vacancies cluster around intrinsic Fe vacancies, leading to nanopore formation, whereas in Fe3O4, vacancy aggregation is suppressed, preserving a dense structure.
