Photo‐Biomodulation of the Hippocampus Using Near‐Infrared Laser to Enhance Cognitive Function in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Here a transcranial photo‐biomodulation approach is developed using near‐infrared (NIR) laser on hippocampus of mice, revealing significant improvements in learning and memory ability of mice under normal and disease conditions. The improvement results from the high‐density cell‐induced NIR local energy deposition, neuronal activation, and axonogenesis

Disturbance‐Aware On‐Chip Training with Mitigation Schemes for Massively Parallel Computing in Analog Deep Learning Accelerator

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study proposes novel operational schemes to solve the write disturbance issues in oxide‐semiconductor and capacitor‐based synaptic devices (6T1C devices). These schemes effectively neutralize disturbances, enabling high‐performance on‐chip training of convolutional neural networks and reducing capacitor size over 100 times.

All‐Electrical Control of Spin Synapses for Neuromorphic Computing: Bridging Multi‐State Memory with Quantization for Efficient Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops three all‐electrically controlled, field‐free spintronic synapse devices for neuromorphic computing. The tilted anisotropy device achieves an 11‐state memory with minimal cycle‐to‐cycle variation (2%), enabling high‐accuracy neural network quantization (81.51% in ResNet‐18). These findings position spintronic synapses as a promising

Elastic Deformation of Cellulose/Lignin‐Based Anode for Rejuvenating Aged Mix‐Cultured Electroactive Biofilms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new strategy for revitalizing aged biofilms using the elastic deformation of biomass‐based flexible carbon aerogel is proposed. The elastic deformation removes the nonelectrogenic bacteria and the dead electrogenic bacteria, as well as a lot of loosely bound extracellular polymer materials.

Synergistic Machine Learning Guided Discovery of ABa3(BSe3)2X (A = Rb, Cs; X = Cl, Br, I): A Promising Family as Property‐Balanced IR Functional Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A synergistic framework for interpretable ML‐assisted target discovery of selenoborates is developed. ABa3(BSe3)2X (A = Rb, Cs; X = Cl, Br, I) are successfully predicted and synthesized, exhibiting significant potential to be promising IR functional materials. This work promotes the cooperation of ML technology and materials science.
