Ammonia Emissions of Pullets and Effects of Stocking Density

Data on ammonia (NH3) emissions from pullets (pre-laying hens) are non-existent, despite the large differences in nutritional and environmental conditions between raising pullets and laying hens. Different stocking densities (SD’s) in housing the birds may be used as a result of certain industry animal welfare guidelines.

3D‐Printed Titanium Gyroid Scaffold Structure Integrated With Tough Hybrid Materials for Cartilage Replacement

This study proposes a potential device design for joint cartilage replacement. Silica‐polytetrahydrofuran (SiO2‐PolyTHF) hybrids with customizable mechanical properties were developed to mimic the characteristics of a natural meniscus. These were synthesized through a two‐pot sol–gel hybrid process.

DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.
