Effects of Stocking Density on the Growth Performance and Production of Male Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in Concrete Ponds, Bahir Dar, Ethiopia

open access: yesBlue Nile Journal of Agricultural Research, 2022
Stocking density is considered one of the important factors that affect the growth and production of fish in aquaculture ponds. However, information related to the effect of stocking density on the growth performance and production of male O.

Historical Changes in Stocking Densities on Texas Rangelands [PDF]

open access: yesRangeland Ecology & Management, 2012
Stocking density, both current and past, is a major determinant of the nature and condition of rangelands. Despite this fact, there have been few detailed examinations of historical trends in stocking density. We used data from the U.S. Census of Agriculture to track the density of domestic livestock from the early 1900s to the present, for six ...

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

How Stocking Density Affects Broiler Chicken Production? A Comprehensive Review [PDF]

open access: yesPoultry Science Journal
To fulfil the substantial demand for broiler chickens from both local consumers and importers, it is imperative to determine the optimal stocking density to maximize production efficiency.

A Probability Density Function for Google's stocks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
It is an approach to introduce the forward Kolmogorov equation as an interesting natural ingredient in studying the evolution of the market stock prices.

Acute caffeine treatment protects the developing retina from ischemia‐induced cell death

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Caffeine reduces cell death in the developing retina under ischemia (OGD). This effect does not involve BDNF upregulation or antioxidant pathways (NRF2/VEGF). Neuroprotection occurs mainly through adenosine A2A receptor antagonism, decreasing glutamate release and excitotoxicity, highlighting caffeine's potential as an acute neuroprotective agent in ...

The Effects of Stocking Density on Growth Performance of Pekin Ducks

open access: yesHarran Tarım ve Gıda Bilimleri Dergisi, 2018
The experiment was designed to investigate the effects of actual stocking density on the growth performance parameters in Pekin ducks. A total of 240 ducklings were used with stocking densities of 3, 5 and 7 poults m-2 during the 42 day growing period.

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...
