Effect of stocking density on the growth and survival of Anomalocardia brasiliana (Gmelin, 1791) (Bivalvia: Veneridae) post-larvae [PDF]

open access: yesCiência Rural, 2019
: Anomalocardia brasiliana post-larvae were cultured for 28 days to evaluate the effect of stocking density on their growth and survival rate. Three stocking densities were tested 40, 80 and 160 post-larvae cm-2, in experimental units (2-L) with static ...

Effect of stocking density of fish on water quality and growth performance of European Carp and leafy vegetables in a low-tech aquaponic system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Aquaponics (AP) is a semi-closed system of food production that combines aquaculture and hydroponics and represents a new agricultural system integrating producers and consumers.

Pricing stock options with stochastic interest rate [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Portfolio Analysis and Management, 2011
This paper constructs a closed-form generalization of the Black-Scholes model for the case where the short-term interest rate follows a stochastic Gaussian process. Capturing this additional source of uncertainty appears to have a considerable effect on option prices.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

The potential cost to New Zealand dairy farmers from the introduction of nitrate-based stocking rate restrictions [PDF]

open access: yes
Introducing a stocking rate restriction is one possible course of action for regulators to improve water quality where it is affected by nitrate pollution.

Environmental effectiveness of the cross compliance Standard 4.6 ‘Minimum livestock stocking rates and/or appropriate regimens’

open access: yesItalian Journal of Agronomy, 2015
The paper presents the main results of the monitoring on the effectiveness of the cross compliance Standard 4.6 ‘Minimum livestock stocking rates and/or appropriate regimes’ carried out in two case studies within the project MO.NA.CO: sheep grazing in ...

Sheep wool δ13C reveals no effect of grazing on the C3/C4 ratio of vegetation in the inner Mongolia-Mongolia border region grasslands. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
We tested whether the abundance of C(4) vegetation in grasslands of the Mongolian plateau is influenced by grazing conditions. The analysis exploited the politically originated contrast that exists between Mongolia (low stocking rate, transhumant system)

Growth and Production of Golden Shiner, Notemigonous crysoleucas, Under Different Stocking Densities and Feeding Rates [PDF]

open access: yes, 1974
Experiments on the effects of stocking densities and feeding rates on growth and production of golden shiner were conducted under laboratory conditions. The stocking densities were 20, 28 and 36 fry per 60 gal of water. The fish in tanks with 28 fry were

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Mud crab, Scylla tranquebarica (Fabricius, 1798), crablet grow‐out in lined ponds with different stocking densities to support soft‐shell crab production

open access: yesJournal of the World Aquaculture Society
Crab stocking densities in brackish water ponds can influence crab growth rate, survival, and production volume. This study aimed to determine the optimum grow‐out stocking density for Scylla tranquebarica crablets reared in lined ponds to supply the ...
